From the late 19th century to the early 20th century depictions of the Monterey Peninsula epitomized California art. The towns of Monterey, Pacific Grove and Carmel were home to kindred souls who freely shared their lives, ideals and respective arts. Dr. Scott Shields, Chief Curator, Crocker Art Museum, shares the history of this fascinating place and time in California art.

Embroidery Series
Begins April 13

Botanical Art: Irises

Miniature Flower Arrangements
Children age 5 through 12

Children are invited to exhibit miniature flower arrangements at the Filoli Flower Show in May! This class teaches them how to create three lovely miniature arrangements. One is chosen to become an entry in the Flower Show and the others are taken home.
