We offer a variety of guided tours, unique hikes and walks to help enrich your Filoli experience. All tours are free with the price of admission. Prepaid advanced reservations are recommended, especially during April and May.

Groups at Filoli are considered 12 or more. Please call Visitor Services for group rate information.

House & Garden Tours

Guided by Filoli volunteer docents, these tours last approximately two hours. An hour is spent in the House and an hour is spent in the Garden. The walking is at a casual pace as the docents talk about each area. Tour times are Tuesday through Saturday at 10:30 am and 1:00 pm.

Sunday Tours— For A Limited Time!

Take a docent–guided one–hour tour of the House or Gardens on Sundays in June and July. Plan to spend the day at Filoli, with lunch in the Café, and join us for both tours! Walk–ins only, no need to register in advance.

Nature Preserve Hikes

Filoli offers a wide range of hikes and walks through its Nature Preserve throughout the year for adults, families, and groups. Saturday Nature Hikes – A benefit of membership!

Did you know that Filoli’s nature preserve has more than seven miles of trails crisscrossing six different types of native California habitats? Join experienced Nature Education Docents on a guided, two-hour hike along some of these well–maintained trails. Experience the beauty and tranquility of our nature preserve while learning about the natural environment and the wildlife that make Filoli their home.

Fee: Free for members or with paid admission to Filoli – $20 adults; $10 children.
Non–member fee includes same–day admission to the House and Garden during normal business hours, 10:00 am – 3:30 pm.

*Except on Special Event days.

Experience the tranquility of Filoli’s nature preserve in the light of the setting sun. Bring your family for a hike in the woodlands at dusk, the ideal time of day to spot our resident wildlife. Don’t forget your cameras and binoculars! This is a two–hour hike on varied terrain. At times it can be strenuous. Please discuss any physical limitations with your docent before you head out. For safety reasons (narrow, steep, and rocky) strollers and wheelchairs cannot be accommodated on the trails.

Adult Fee: $10 members; $15 non–members.
Child Fee: $5 members; $10 non–members.
Children 5 and older are welcome. Non–member fee includes same day admission to the House and Garden.

Nature Hikes

Orchard Walks – A benefit of membership!

The Orchard at Filoli is 6.8 acres in size and includes more than 600 fruit tree varieties, including apples, pears, plums, quince, apricots, nectarines, plums, nuts, and more. It is an eclectic connoisseur’s collection of European and American varieties of fruits, many of which were originally grown for the enjoyment of the family of the estate.

Take a guided walk in our orchard and learn more about this defining landscape feature, taste fruit (when available) right off the tree and discover what Filoli is doing to conserve not only the rare fruits but the traditions of this unique heirloom orchard.

Dining Options for Groups

For your convenience the Café at Filoli offers you the opportunity to order box lunches. This gives you designated seating in the Café. The price is $17.00 per box lunch. The box includes a sandwich, side salad, brownie/cookie and beverage. A 50 percent deposit is due at booking. Final order and non–refundable payment is required two weeks prior to visit. Picnicking is not allowed at Filoli. Filoli is NOT available for fundraisers, auctions (live or silent), political events, parties, celebrations, weddings or commitment ceremonies.
