This summer the Friends of Filoli offer four events designed exclusively to thank Filoli members for their vital membership support. In addition to the Member Twilight Strolls, the Friends hold two lectures under the theme, “Filoli’s Collections and Heirlooms.” Each lecture, held in the Lecture Hall of the Visitor and Education Center, will be preceded by a beverage and hors d’oeuvres reception beginning at 5:30 pm, followed by a lecture from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10 and Thursday, September 12.
Your membership makes you eligible to attend ONE of four Member Benefit Events each year, space permitting. The level of your membership determines how many places you are allowed to reserve for the one event you choose to attend. The number of your reservations for the event you choose is dependent on your membership level.

Collections and Heirlooms, #2: An overview of the Gentlemen’s Orchard
At Filoli, heirlooms are not found only in the House. Alex Fernandez, Filoli’s Manager of Horticultural Operations, will take us on a visual tour of another heirloom — our historic orchard. You will learn about the history and revival of this hidden gem, about the extensive and varied heirloom fruit collection, and about what happens to our abundant annual fruit harvest. You will also be able to taste some fruity delights, courtesy of the Gentlemen’s Orchard!
Please Note:
In the past, Filoli has experienced a significant number of “no–shows.” We ask that if you have made a reservation and find that you are unable to attend, you notify Member Services at (650) 364–8300, extension 508 as soon as possible, and no later than 48 hours prior to the event. This will allow us to contact other members on the waiting list. Thank you for your courtesy.
