The popular Stories in Bloom series showcases storytelling of all forms, including poetry, music, and photography. Through this program, we explore a range of topics and encourage guests to share their perspectives through a Q&A. All are held in Filoli’s beautifully restored Ballroom.

Ikebana with Studio Mondine

Experience the art of Japanese floral design as Studio Mondine brings Ikebana to life through a live demonstration inspired by Filoli’s winter gardens. Discover how balance, form, and seasonality shape each arrangement, and enjoy an intimate look at the storytelling behind this centuries-old tradition.

Celebrating Lunar New Year with Winnie Wong

Celebrate Lunar New Year with an enchanting performance by musician Winnie Wong. Guests will experience the vibrant sounds of traditional Chinese instruments and learn about the cultural significance of the holiday. Join us for a joyful celebration filled with music, storytelling, and community as we welcome a new year of luck, harmony, and renewal.
